Alas I’m Only Human – Shawna R. B. Atteberry
Jan 312007

I have been thinking this whole week that it is Book in a Week, and it’s not. It’s next week: the first full week of February. Now I don’t feel so guilty for doing more reading through what I wrote and outlining to get my head back in my novel. I’ve only written a few pages because it’s been so long since I worked on it. Now I can review and outline all I want, and next week I might actually be in a place where I can crank out 20 pages a day.

When was the last time you were reminded of your humanity (and it doesn’t have to be a mistake or goof up)?

The Drawings of Leonardo da Vinci is where I found the drawing, and the site has a lot of da Vinci’s drawings available for download.

  1. This morning, when I woke up with laryngitis but no other unpleasant symptoms, and got to cancel today’s class and have a little breathing space on making up the quiz and study sheet. No surprise, with how hard I have been working on the writing, teaching, and ministry fronts, but I also took it as God appreciating my courage and giving me a much-needed rest. I have already napped and begun reading my first novel in over a month– *Eragon*, which my mom passed on at Christmas and Nicholas has already gobbled up. Woohoo!

Glad you got some breathing room too, and best of luck on the manuscript.

  2. I’m glad you got to rest and have some fun today. Good for you.

  3. Only human but fully human… thought you might enjoy this quote:

“Love is above all else acceptance of the whole, including, the flaws, the “holes” in us so to speak Holy women have a faith that reveals the strength of vulnerability. Their openess to a realtionship to God and to others gives them their depth.”- Helen LaKelly Hunt

    Peace and blessings
