I need to chat with you!! I have a sermon to do for Mother's Day (I'm a student and have the luxury of TIME to study and prepare.) We won't go into why I was assigned to Mother's Day... just thankful that I get to preach. sigh.

ANYWAY
My assigned text is the story of Hannah. I remembered you have this reference in the making... any chance it will be published soon?? I need resources that apply to men AND women, parents and singles... ANY help you can give would be appreciated!

So grateful for RevGals!

Hi. I've referenced this series in my last two posts because the essay concept intrigues me. Do people still read essays? Do blooks of essays sell? Thought you might want to swing by and comment.

Thank you for your encouragement. Sally, thanks for the heads up of subsuming the creation account and fall under the Introduction. It does need a section of its own.

Mrs. M thank you for reminding me of the Proverbs 31 woman!

LutheranChik: Amen! Preach it sister!

Thank you!

A great theme, and long overdue. Sentimentalized Victorian-era upper-class housewifery -- which tends to be touted as "traditional women's roles" or "traditional family values" is not what these women were all about!

I'm so glad that you're doing this, I think it's much needed.

Just another small point-- when I read the discription of the Proverbs 31 woman, she is not a woman whose primary concerns are homemaking in a contemporary sense. She's definitely a businesswoman, too.
