And I am officially closing this down. Zach you don't how to debate or listen, and I am not going in the same circles we went round in on NazNet. You won't have to worry about me checking out your blog again. Even if a link pops up on my incoming links. Now I know what to expect, I won't waste my time.

Thanks for your comment Brian. And thanks for stopping by.

This whole thing is getting ridiculous. If you don't have the hutspah to post on Naznet, just post on some blog somewhere so noone can rebut it.

It seems to me that Zach's position is closer to the Southern Baptists, and not that of the Church of the Nazarene. And just how exactly are you supposed to be Wesleyan in your approach Zach. I don't see it.

The spirit of the gospel is that the ground is level at the foot of the cross. If that is true, don't you think that the Lord calls both male and female to preach His word. And in these last days, don't you think that both are needed. We can reach more together than excluding one whole group.

Its ok to disagree with someone, but taking potshots on your own blog when you don't have the guts to post where you know it will be responded to.

Zach as Ian and many others said on the post at NazNet, if you don't agree with a certain denomination's teachings, then it's time to move on and become the Southern Baptist you really are.

Plenty of people have showed you there are other ways to interpret Scripture. You're just not interested in anything outside of your personal views and attention. I do obey Scripture. I preach as Mary Magdalene did. I take care of the people God has put me over as Deborah did. I teach men just like Priscilla did. I lead people in worship just like Miriam did.

Go ahead and proof-text all you want. The Bible gives a very different view of women in leadership than the complentarian view. And yes, I am representative of many in our denomination going back to our founder Phineas Bresee who ordained three women elders in 1903; one of which went on to become the first female district superintendent on the Washington-Oregon District. I am very proud to be representative of this denomination. If you're not then leave and find a denomination that suits your own personal views.

Shawna, this isn't a personal issue, you are representative of many in our denomination. There are many things I like about the Nazarene church but I don't agree with everything. It does not matter what the denomination teaches, it only matters what the Scriptures teach. You look to the denomination for justification not scripture. You look to culture and your own personal feelings, not scripture. We are called to obey scripture and adjust our way of thinking and living according to what it says, not the other way around.
