As many of you know I’m an associate editor on The Christian Godde Project. We are working on the Divine Feminine Translation, which means we’re translating the New Testament using only feminine names, metaphors, and pronouns for Godde. This last weekend we met in Dayton, Ohio to finalize our translation of Mark and move on. My assignment is to translate Luke and Colossians. Meet the the team:
Julie Sweeney, Mark Mattison, Laura Grimes, me
Mark is the general editor of the project, and Julie, Laura and I are associate editors (we don’t have Mark’s superpower of taking loads of info and organizing it in an easily understood way). One of our associate editors and design guru wasn’t there: Tim Victor lives in South Africa, and it was a bit costly for him to fly over for the weekend. But I swiped a picture from his Facebook page:

We met at Laura Grime’s home where we worshiped in The Saints Junia and Adronicus Chapel:

This is Laura and I hard at work on Saturday:

I’m sure you’ve recognized a couple of names which have popped up on this site before: I reviewed two of Laura’s books: Sophia’s Book of Hours and Sophia’s Rosary. She has also added The Sophia Psalter to complete her Sophia worship series. I interviewed Mark Mattison last week for Women Who Didn’t Shut Up & Sit Down. You can find a podcast excerpt here.
I had a great time seeing Laura again and getting to meet Mark and Jule face-to-face for the first time. And I look forward to continuing to work on the Divine Feminine Version with them. This is something we are very passionate about, and it is so much fun to work with people who have the same passion as you do.
